A quick note to say that I am still here. Mostly sleeping, or just feeling like crap. Last 2 days though have been better. I dont feel like I am breathing sand which is always good. The Family is driving out to Albequerque, NM so the kids can see their Granddad. House is……..quiet, too quiet. Which is fine, a pleasant rarity.
I have little to nothing to gripe, whine, piss, or moan about……..too tired.
But fear not valiant readers…..how long can that last?

So I just got word from my bud Stan, in Jackson Mississippi, that the old Geo Prizm I ran for 10 year is still going and broke the 300,000 mile mark. The picture is the car where it happened. It happened between the 99 and 100 mile marker on the Natchez Trace between (george P-funk) Clinton and Jackson, Mississippi. I got some pictures of the odometer but you cant really see the 300K.
Stan say’s it is still running like a mofo. His mechanic down there says the only way to kill it is to blow the engine up. David when you get back from Afganistan, we may need to talk. But it is still running so that hopefully wont be needed for years to come. Stan is the true shizzel-manizzle. Now if he would just come up to visit, we could go to The Royal Mile pub for a Guiness and some wings.
I would post pictures of Origins but due to my near complete incompetance, I left the flash card out, then the battery died. I will blame the pneumonia, which I am working on putting the x-rays up. After some photoshop work because it took me a while to spot what pneumonia looks like on an X-ray. Played some excellent Call of Cthulu games, some kung fu games and the Highlight was of course “THE SMITHEE AWARDS” on Saturday night. If you are into bad movies, the smithee awards do all the real hard work for you, they find the worst of the worst. The audience gets to vote for the worst in each of 19 different categories. And they find some bad ones. After 5 hours, it actually makes your brain hurt from laughing so hard.
It was a exhausting 4 days, but I do put that down to the pneumonia.
I also want to throw a shout out to Dead Gentlemen Productions. They are the creator of “The Gamers” which if you have never seen and you ever played D&D, get off your duff and watch it. It reminds me of my high school and early college days. I talked to them for a bit in the dealer room and got to see a clip from there latest job “Gamers 2″. I am a sucker for helping out the little production houses, especially those that have a smilliar sense of humor as mine.
