It looks like we did it!

I would to thank everyone who helped out Team Greykell! It looks like as of this morning we made our $7500 dollar goal.

GOAL!!! GOLA GOALgoalgoalgogogogogoGOAL!!!!!!!!

OK so no one will have to get the ferret treatment. Unless it is extremely funny. ………. and it is extremely funny.

I will post how I survive this one. Thank god we start at a hospital. IT would be…….WAIT!…… if I need the hospital at the start of the race, there is something wrong. We should turn this around and walk FROM the US Capitol and go TO the hospital. I can see that working much better for me. and this is of course all about Greykell.

peace and limping grease

I return you now to your normal surly existance.

Oh yeah Why I walk

What its all about

So I finally did it today

I finally got around to hijacking some e-mail lists. SOOOO anyone who stops by here, know that I hate mass e-mails but I am desparately looking for ways to raise money for our team to walk this year.

I am also suffering from extreme sleep deprivation, as it is Tech week for the theater set I am building. OK not that its a big switch from insomnia but still……… Busting myself up on a 3 day/ 50 mile walk begins to sound like a good time. Remember Tech ryhmes with Heck and heck is another word for Hell.

Please help out TEAM GREYKELL

MS Walk – Team Greykell

I would like to take this moment to repent my procrastinating ways……… OK the moment is over.

Now feels like the worst time to start this with the Katrina tragedy, and my heart truly goes out to Alabama, Lousiana, and Mississippi BUT………….

I need to put out a call for all the friends of Greykell to please donate what you can spare for our team at msandyou.org The money was suppose to be inby Sept 1 but we have been given permission to collect money up to the day of the walk. We, as a team, need to raise $6000. And I really could use the help of the 4 people that read this page. It breaks down to only $1500 dollars for each of my loyal readers so how bad could that be? It is a real shame that my cult has disbanded (well they all graduated High school) that would have been a snap.

Team Greykell is our way of saying how much we care about not only Greykell but all our friends and family that have been touched by MS. I will post the list of all the folks we have walked for in the past, but I need to get this out now.

We have 5 people on our team. Captain Greykell, Stacey, Flyingwolf (Maria if you know here that way), Chris (of the Chris and Alice and Zack show) and making up the big rear is yours truely John “End of the line” Buckley.

It is a well divided team. Stacey and Chris will be the lead scout team, Greykell and I will take up the firm last place. I am not sure where Flyingwolf will be in this because last year she rode a motorcycle which took her out of contention.

I am going to start raiding every e-mail list I can find to start asking for money, and I would ask if any of you know people who know Greykell to please ask them to donate.

The MS Society makes it easy to donate buy allowing you to pledge over the internet, using C-cards. Or you can fax, mail it in. Just go to MS AND YOU and click on the online donation. The form is bulky because they want info but it is self explanatory, but here is one of the tricky parts.

the important part

I would really like to get e-mails from people that donate so I can keep a running count. If the picture is too blurry, the e-mail address is :

buckleyjohn @spamcop. com

Once again this is a bad time to ask for this but every little bit helps, and Greykell is one of the best causes I have ever wanted to support. I wouldnt walk 50 miles for myself, but for someone like Grey, I would walk that extra mile.

Rememberance of Warren Zevon

Excitable Boy

September 7th marks the passing of one of my favorite musicians, Warren Zevon.

On Sept 7, 2003, he passed away after a fight with Lung cancer, but still able to put out one last album “The Wind” 2 weeks before his passing.

I’m drinking heartbreak motor oil and Bombay gin
I’ll sleep when I’m dead
Straight from the bottle, twisted again
I’ll sleep when I’m dead

Well, I take this medicine as prescribed
I’ll sleep when I’m dead
It don’t matter if I get a little tired
I’ll sleep when I’m dead

He lives on through his music.
